Your daily dose of pretty: Scent soaps

I prefer shower gel over soap when I'm showering, but being a complete sucker for the pretty means whenever I see a pretty soap I'm likely to buy it just to look at, even if I'll never use it. So when we were on Waiheke Island last weekend and I wandered into Scent, well let's just say it's a miracle I didn't walk out with an armful of soaps. Because, look:

 Look!

Look!

And, they smell delicious too! Scent have stores in Howick, Papakura, Pukekohe, Havelock North, Waiheke Island, Takapuna and Devonport, and their products are also available on their website.

All I want for Christmas: Korres Summer Fruits Pack

I'm generally fairly loyal when it comes to beauty products - once I find something I like I stick with it. But with shower gels, I'm a complete hussy. I hate to use the same one two days in a row, and big bottles frustrate me because they take too long to use up and I get bored with them (I don't like to have too many bottles on the go at once, there's not a lot of storage in our tiny shower). So something like this is perfect for me:

The Korres Limited Edition Summer Fruits Pack contains three 50ml shower gels in Guava, Kumquat and Mandarin Fig. AU$19.95 from Kit, the bottles are small enough that I wouldn't have a chance to get bored!

Your daily dose of pretty: Lush Angels Delight soap

This may come as a surprise, but I'm not a huge fan of Lush. Not because I in any way object to their products - quite the opposite. No, my problem with Lush is that to walk in to one of their shops is to be bombarded by a plethora of overpowering aromas, enough to make my eyes water and my head cloud. The Eccentric English Boyfriend refuses to even set foot in the door of Lush because he gets an instant headache. Even the scents of many of the products themselves don't appeal to me - I may be a bit odd, who knows.

One thing I can't fault them on though is the prettiness of many of their products. Just look at this soap:

The Angels Delight soap is orange scented, which is a good thing because as a rule I love citrus scents. Priced at NZ$7.50 it is part of their Christmas gifts range.

Your daily dose of pretty: *sniff* *cough* *sneeze*

My pretties, I have sadly neglected you have I not? Four days it's been since my last post, because I'm sick. Not Swine Flu sick, or even bed-bound sick. Just sore throat and sore head and can't be bothered doing anything sick. I need pretty scented things to make me feel uplifted.

That is the Revitalise Gift Bag Deluxe, by New Zealand company The Aromatherapy Company. The gift bag contains a 200ml bath and shower gel, 200ml hand and body lotion, 2 x 100g soaps and a bath sponge, all packaged in a carry bag. Scented with Orange and Jasmine, this would be just the thing to clear my head and lift my spirits. NZ$49.99 from Living and Giving.

Normal transmission will resume soon, I promise. When it does I'll be able to tell you all about how - even though I don't feel well - I managed to find somewhere that stocks LA Girl AND Sinful Colors here in New Zealand, and how I might have bought, erm, 17 nail polishes there.

Your daily dose of pretty: Misery Cute as Hell Sack of Goodies

I love the tshirts by New Zealand company Misery, and now they've added their distinctive designs to a range of bath and body products.

Look at this:

Isn't that the most amazing artwork? The Sack of Goodies contains a body wash with moisturising algae extract, a hand and body lotion with shea butter, olive oil and aloe, a violet and quince scented splash and a pomegranate and beeswax lip balm stick. NZ$50.00 from Misery. I want these just for the gorgeous packaging, although I'm also curious about the violet and quince scent - I haven't had quince jelly since I was a kid but the thought is making my mouth water.
