It's funny how tastes change. It's not that long ago that orange was one of my least favourite colours - possibly from being a child in the 70s when orange (normally combined with brown) was everywhere. Then I started wearing orange nail polish a few months ago, and next thing you know I'm lusting after orange shoes. Specifically these orange shoes:

Yeah, these shoes pretty much have "Selina" written all over them. Not literally, obviously. Unless it was in invisible ink. Admittedly I'd prefer them without the ankle strap because you have to have long slim legs to get away with that, and mine are neither!

I have decided I need more pink in my life. The colour, not the singer. Although she looks like the sort of girl who could be fun to have around.

Pink is not a colour I carry off well next to my face though, so a pink skirt would be the order of the day. I love the ladylike shade of light pink of this skirt, and the asymmetrical ruffles are gorgeous:

Your daily dose of pretty: Smoothie print flats

I. Love. Shoes. This totally doesn't come as a surprise to you does it my pretties? I'd happily go without food to support my shoe obsession. But, I cannot bring myself to like flat shoes. I don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm only five foot tall, I like any extra height I can get. And I just can't see the sexiness in flat shoes. Whatever the reason, my shoe collection contains only a couple of pairs of flats (not counting trainers), but it probably needs more. I admit there's times when heels are just a bit much (especially when there's a lot of walking involved), but I want something a little dressier than trainers.

And you know what? I totally don't hate these:



I wouldn't in a month of Sundays wear that (positively garish) print anywhere else on my body, but the contrast of the tropical print with the plaited rope trim works on these shoes. I'm loving the peep toe and bow too. I could wear these.

This probably belongs under the category of "Completely pointless but pretty".



I've never really seen the point of individual holders for makeup - those little cases for your lipstick for example. I mean by the time you've rifled through your handbag, found your makeup case, opened that, rifled through it, found the lipstick case - well who wants one more thing to open? But, this is pretty. In a blingy 'put the Bedazzler down and back away slowly before you do something you'll regret' kind of way. It hovers just on the edge of tastefulness and I like it. Oh and it actually comes with the mascara, which is a brand I've never heard of. And, because apparently everything needs to be able to be hung from stuff these days it has a keychain. There's going to come a day when nobody actually carries stuff INSIDE their handbags because it's all going to be hung on the outside.

Your daily dose of pretty: Shy Shy Floral Chiffon Trim Halter Top

Look at this little cutie:


Take a basic little halter top, add cute detailing by edging the neckline with printed chiffon and using the same chiffon for the bow at the back of the neck, and you have pretty.
