Your daily dose of pretty: Lipstik Zinga from Hannahs

I spotted these in Hannahs today during a quick trip to the mall, and being me I had to stop and fondle them. If it weren't for pre-Christmas budget limitations I would have walked out with them too.

Coral is a colour that pops up every summer and while I wouldn't choose clothing items in coral because it just doesn't suit me I absolutely love it in these shoes. These are in a gorgeous tactile suede, and they also come in a stunning royal blue which I love almost as much and a go-with-everything nude. Unfortunately there are no photos of either of those colours on the Hannahs website so you'll just have to pop into a store to see for yourself.

Your daily dose of pretty: Life's a Beach heels from Hannahs

If somebody tried to describe these shoes to me, my immediate reaction would be "bleuch":

A high heeled canvas shoe in red, pink, green, orange and purple stripes? It sounds like something vomitted up by a deck chair.

But actually, I love this shoe. I even went into Hannahs yesterday to fondle it in person, and confirmed its gorgeousness. I didn't try it on though, because you know what happens once I try it on don't you? Yup, the credit card comes out and Eccentric English Boyfriend gets to repeat what seems to be his favourite phrase: "how many pairs of shoes do you actually need?". I may well get that printed on a tshirt for him. In fact I could probably do a whole collection of EEB tshirts, with phrases like "you bought more nail polish - what a surprise"; "I don't have any cash on me, you took it all"; and the perennial favourite "yes, dear".

Your daily dose of pretty: they were half price, I HAD to get them

Wandering through the mall today, I accidentally found myself in Hannahs. (I KNOW! I was as astounded as you are. It's the funniest thing, happens to me all the time). Anyway, these were on sale, down from $99.95 to $49.95.



I've been coveting these little cuties (the Pulp Hide-n-Seek) for a while - they're the love child of a brogue and a mary jane, and that little bow ups the cuteness factor by ten. So obviously I wasn't going to say no to them at half price now was I? They're also available in solid black, which is nice but doesn't have the pizzazz of the black and cream combo.

13 Year Old Daughter managed to talk me into buying these for her while we were there:



That's the Stompa Racey, only $19.95 in the sale. I love how they can be worn with the top folded down to expose the lining. She's my little Padawan, 13 Year Old Daughter, and I have taught her so well!

Your daily dose of pretty: in which I embarrass my children by talking to shoes

I love taking 13 Year Old Girl shopping - we have a great time together giggling and trying on clothes. 10 Year Old Boy on the other hand hates shopping with me, unless it involves toy shops or games shops. Strangely enough though they both refuse to accompany me into shoe shops. Apparently being seen with a woman who cuddles shoes and whispers things like "hello my pretty" to them is embarrassing. Go figure.

Neither of them were anywhere to be seen when I found these beauties in Hannahs:



This is Knock-on-Wood. Nice heel, purple, platform, purple, understated detailing and purple - this ticks all the boxes for me. It's also available in black leather and gold leather if you're not as obsessed with purple as I. The Hannahs website doesn't list the price, but if memory serves they are NZ$99.99.
